Yes, that's right, we've jumped onto the 'Blog-Wagon'! Here you can expect a little digital marketing, a few tips for breaking from the 9-5 and going self-employed. Mainly, though, we'll be using our blog as a platform to champion some of the incredible women in business we are privileged to know and the stories behind their brands.

We hope you enjoy reading!

Festive Fempreneurs Wrap-Up

Over December, instead of our normal content, we changed things up and created an advent calendar of some of our favourite female run brands who are smashing their social media game. Here in this blog you’ll find them all together in their groupings of: ‘Folk we know’, ‘Shropshire babes’, ‘Long Distance’ and ‘Big Players’.

If you’re starting a new brand, or thinking about fresh vibes for the new year, we hope this wrap-up will give you a bit of inspiration for your content. Like what you see? Make sure you give them a follow!

Folk we know

Somehow, we’re lucky enough to know all of these ‘Festive Fempreneurs’ in real life. Each bringing a completely different approach to their social game plan and giving us ALL of the Insta-inspo!

1) Pink Flamingo Marketing

On the face of it you'd think we were competition...another feminist social media freelancer. Chloe has such a bright inspirational vibe, reflective of the incredible goal setting work she does with her clients - a really unique take on what we do!

We can't wait to collaborate with her soon and make some magic happen soon!

Her feed is so colourful and gorgeous, full of motivation, enviable pics of her travels and a big dollop of girl power! What more could you want!

2) Easy As VAT

Founder Julia gives us serious pastel hued goodness! Her grid is beautifully stylised mixing up images of the venue's she's working at, her home office set up and her adventures in business.

Doing your accounts and managing your finances just got sexy lovelies! Top work Julia!

3) Business Sorority

At first glance, their grid is sugar, spice & all things nice with a gorgeous pastel palette. Look a bit deeper and you'll see this stunningly curated feed is full of feisty guts, gumption and patriarchy smashing.

Our first year in business would have been very different without the support of this incredible group. Seriously go give them a follow!

4) Toyah Emily

Taking pictures of food for social media and getting your audience drooling isn't easy, but Toyah definitely manages it! Her simplistic grid style really allows her work to shine, whilst conveying her environmental & plant-based brand values.

Vegan never looked or tasted so good! Which cake is your favourite?

5) Self Love Sarah

This account comes with a warning - it's guaranteed to make you feel better about yourself! Sarah's body confidence and self love vibes radiate from her grid, giving you a smile on your face and a warm fuzzy feeling in your belly

She re-branded a few months ago, making her feed theme more reflective of the work she does and it's 100% as gorgeous as she is inside and out. Keep up the amazing work hun!

6) Easy Insta MCR

Another incredible social media freelancer we're so pleased to know! Katya focuses on creating gorgeous Instagram content which shines and stands out on the grid, sharing her tips online and in her workshops

Her vibe showcases her travels, bright colours, and her adventures in nature - it's such a gorgeous place to scroll and put a smile on your face!

7) Kat Horrocks

This babe's feed gives us serious insta-envy. Her content is the perfect balance of stylised & natural images without the ultra-posed fakeness, gorgeous colour tones and motivating branded graphics.

Her relaxed but empowered self-love ethos can be found all over her blog and podcast too. Go give her a snoop!

Shropshire Babes

A few we know, a few don’t, but all from our new home of Shropshire! We’re so lucky there’s an abundance of incredible independent business women in this county; although it did make this category pretty difficult to choose from!

8) Sass in the Kitchen

Not long into her cheffing journey and just LOOK at the gorgeous magic she's creating already! We can first hand confirm her food is as good as it looks! She’s launched tickets for a new event, which you don’t want to miss!

Her vibrant feed with strong white borders really make the food creations & adventures on her grid pop! Keep up the amazing work in the kitchen and on the gram, you're aceing it!

9) Living Box

This gorgeous Bridgnorth based home-wear and lifestyle shop has recently seamlessly transitioned their shop from online to real-life.

Their feed is the perfect mix of in-store shots, product showcasing and customer images of their buys at home. Bright colours shine against simple white backgrounds, creating a stunning theme to keep you scrolling!

10) Davenport House

This stunning Shropshire wedding venue has a feed to match!

Muted, earthy tones set the unique theme for their branded quotes & testimonials, without going down the traditional “white and romantic” route. Whilst gorgeous high quality imagery showcases latest wedding trends, real couple photography and stylised shoots in their banquet rooms

11) Artcadia

Artcadia is the cutest letterpress stationary & art studio who have only this year broken out of their garden-shed workspace and into a real life shop in Shrewsbury!

Their sustainable brand and art shine strong against a stripped back natural theme. Their gorgeous Instagram feed really fuels our inner stationary addict, making us want to send all-sorts of cute letters and cards to folk!

12) Workshop SY1

This adorable 9 month old Shrewsbury shop, has an absolutely gorgeously designed feed, really epitomising the work owner Penny does with other independent creatives

There's a great mix of shop shots, quirky flat-lays and product images all with a really personal and homely feel. Makes us all squishy inside!

13) Coffee & Cloth

If you like your lifestyle shops with a double shot of caffeine, Coffee & Cloth is for you! It's the cutest of boutiques in a historically distinctive Tudor building on Fish Street, Shrewsbury.

Their feed is as dark and quirky as their store. Loads of coffee equipment (as expected), but instead of going down the hipster route, they've created a super snug and cosy feel. Just want you want to go with a good brew!

14) Wyle Blue World

This Shrewsbury shop has an account as luxurious as it's products! Their feed takes you on the journey of travels sourcing stock far & wide, showcasing in the shop and in their final forever homes.

They've recently had professional photography done with our pal @Waileystudio (another adopted Shrewsbury creative). It really does make such a huge impact investing in high-quality content.

Long Distance

Some of our favourite brands to follow outside of the ‘Shire. From USA to Poland, via a few homegrown girls, these accounts are all brands we actively search for and genuinely look forward to seeing pop-up on our feed

15) Pixie Cup

Menstrual cups are a difficult thing to make look “instagrammable”, but this brand smash it! And without the use of curating a load of content from other accounts; which so many of their competitors are guilty of.

The cool blue and white theme of their content reflects their brand values, while clever use of imagery and video make talking about the purpose informative, accessible and as natural as any other product. Well done loves!

16) No Bull School

The bright colours and straight talking attitude of this brand really comes to life on their insta feed. Owner @sarahkwisombe serves some serious no-nonsense realness when it comes to the business advice she offers

Vibrant colours, feisty phrasing and an excellent taste in gifs makes this 'gram one not to miss for any young entrepreneur

17) EE Jewellery

Their name "Eclectic Eccentricity" certainly rings true not only with their products, but how they show them off!

These stunning celestial & zoological handmade pieces are shown off in a variety of "out of this world" set-ups, from flat lays, single product shots, model images and so much more! Incredible imagination put into something which could easily become repetitive.

18) Yope

Cruelty free, natural, environmental focus and super cute branding...what more could you want from a skincare and cleaning brand!

Pastel colours & adorable graphics really emphasise their brand values of being kind to you, animals and the world. Their perfect bathroom set-ups give us serious insta-envy

19) I Should B

Their mission statement declares they bring "confidence with colour" and their instagram certainly encapsulates that! This Bristol based clothing and art brand are as fun and vibrant as their products.

Bold branding colours and self love vibes pour out of every bit of content. Their website aims for their designs to give that extra little boost when you need it most...and we think that counts for their feed too! Well done lovelies!

20) Niche Tea

This brand has taken something we all know and love, put a well-being spin on it down to the owner's health experiences, their passion for art & scent and created something beautiful! We wish our tea-breaks looked this good!

The attention, care and love given to their Instagram feed with their carefully constructed set-ups really does prove it's more than just a teabag. It might even be enough to persuade our northern owner away from her "proper builders brew"

21) Dr Jolene Brighten

We love this account brings to the forefront of conversation something which affects all of us women, yet is rarely discussed - hormone health.

Using a lot of videos, accessible advise, tips, tricks and motivation Jolene shares her knowledge and gets us all more aware of whats going on in our bodies and how to improve our health. You'll want to follow her!

Big Players

These brands are long-standing and seriously successful - just a quick glance and you can see why! They’ve built up huge followings, with carefully planned content they’ve finessed over time. Proper insta-goals!

22) The Covet Co

We are so excited for what this brand is doing right now. Founder & beauty illustrator Lauren is passionate about real women, real beauty, real lives and positive social impact - something she showcases in her newly launched magazine.

You can't deny how gorgeous these illustrations are covering The Covet Co's feed! Their designs bring a new life to the beauty brands we know and love, all the while maintaining a sophisticated but feminine colour-scape, all maintaining her core brand values

23) Elly Curshen

Elly is our firm favourite in our kitchen & insta, and we actually got the chance to see her demo at Ludlow Food Festival earlier this year! Her cafe may have recently closed but her personal brand is divine and we can't wait to see what she does next. (We may have a tiny girl crush!)

She's got such a gorgeous eye for design, incredible food tips, recipes, a big champion of local indy businesses and being as eco-friendly as she can - all of which shines through in her beautiful content. What's not to love!?

24) Menagerie Restaurant

There's nowhere better to end up on Christmas Eve, before ramping up the festivities than this absolutely gorgeous Manchester venue. Run by @karinajadhav, who really is the epitome of "girl boss"

High end photography and stunning set-ups set the scene on the grid, for a party like no other. Nights out here really are as gorgeous and wonderfully crazy as her instagram would suggest. If you scroll down far enough, you'll see some familiar faces too!
